Microspeaker

SensoremTek’s joint venture partner has been actively developing a MEMS-based microspeaker, securing two design patents, with a third currently pending. Although some companies have introduced MEMS-based microspeakers, these products have yet to gain significant market traction, likely due to cost challenges. Typically, MEMS microspeakers are larger and more expensive compared to traditional alternatives. To achieve broader market acceptance, the MEMS sensor industry must prioritize creating designs and manufacturing processes that deliver the necessary performance while remaining cost-effective.
